OLGA IS A ‘HEFTY’ GIRL
I have always wanted a dress mannequin for the store. To display aprons primarily. They don’t look good in the bag they arrive in. A little ‘blah’ hanging from a hook.
BUT THEY ARE VERY EXPENSIVE ! Once shipped from Sydney or Melbourne they are over $200. So, in Brisbane on the week-end I went to a second hand shopfitting warehouse, and although they didn’t have any female mannequins they had this…..at a pretty good price.
OK. So it is a male mannequin. Maybe I could display aprons on a male mannequin? Or maybe I could just…..make an adjustment.
I am embarrased to tell you how well one of my old bras fitted this man mannequin. I thought it might be at least a little tight. Oh well.
So here ‘she’ is. Dressed in the aforementioned apron. Tony decided on the name Olga. He figures she resembles an East German shotputter.
And the finished display.
Come in and see Olga.
See you in the store.
